Kick-Start into Science: Entrepreneurship & Innovation
Kick-Start Entrepreneurship & Innovation stream aims to allow students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and connect with like-minded science students. Students will work in small groups to brainstorm, research, design, and present a new product that will positively impact the community. This program will help connect students with others who has similar interests in order for students to share their business concept and ideas thereby fostering a sense of community within the Faculty of Science.
What Is It?
With the support and collaboration from the Carleton Innovation Hub the Kick-Start Entrepreneurship & Innovation stream will consist of weekly workshops starting in the second week of September for four weeks during the fall semester. This program is aimed at undergraduate science students who would like to combine their science degree with business expertise to foster their entrepreneurial goals. The workshop will be held by the Carleton Innovation Hub Professional who will be introducing business background concept to students and helping them transforms their visions and ideas into tangible solutions. By end of the Kick-start Entrepreneurship & Innovation Stream, students will be equipped with the right tools to nurture their bold and imaginative ideas by taking real science-business problems and create meaningful solutions.

Schedules
The Kick-Start Entrepreneurship & Innovation Stream will run during the second week of September for four weeks for an hour each session. Workshops will be Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm EDT on September 14th, 21st, 28th, and October 5th.
Registration
Information on registration for Kick-Start into Science Fall 2023 will be announced closer to the start of the fall term.
