Information for Attendees
This page will provide you with all the information you need if you’re signed up for CHEM4U. If you have any questions about the program, feel free to email sssc [at] carleton.ca.
Attendance is mandatory for all CHEM4U lectures, activities, and tutorials. Students will receive an email to their Carleton account before the program begins with any further information on instructors they require.
CHEM4U Schedule

Green blocks: Everyone joins synchronously
Blue Blocks: group A joins synchronously
Orange Blocks: group B joins synchronously
Note: Students only need to join one of the tutorial and practice sessions, the time slot will be free time
Yellow Blocks: breaks for all
Blank Slots: time to work on asynchronous work
What You Will Need
Slides for lectures will be provided as downloadable files on the course’s Brightspace page, as well as any other worksheets or problem sets.
Technology and Supplies Checklist:
- An internet-enabled computer (laptop/desktop)
- Zoom software installed on computer (can also install on phone as backup!)
- Access to reliable internet
- Webcam
- Headset with microphone
- Pens, pencils, erasers
- Calculator
- Notebook to write notes and for tutorial problems
Missing Classes
Since spaces are limited, please only register for CHEM4U if you are willing and able to attend all five days of the program. If you are unable to attend due to extenuating circumstances after registering, please email sssc [at] carleton.ca as soon as possible.
