  • Meet upper-year mentors in the SSSC who can help you study and adjust to university

  • Build your skills by participating in SSSC training on communication skills, campus resources and other topics

  • Attend the SSSC's fun team building activities

  • Get noticed! Being a First-Year Rep is an excellent gateway for becoming an SSSC Mentor!

  • Get Co-Curricular Credit (CCR) and volunteer experience on your resume

There are only two requirements for becoming a First-Year Rep: 1) have a positive attitude and 2) be willing to stand up in front of one or two of your classes each week to talk for one minute.
