Join us the week of Monday, November 14th - Friday, November 18th as we celebrate Science Kindness Week and being kind to one another. Join your friends and peers throughout the week to participate in fun and inclusive community events.
The days of Science Kindness Week are as follows:
- Karaoke Night Monday, November 14th @ 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Warm up those singing voices and pick out your favorite songs for an amazing night of tunes and making new friends! Join us from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the SSSC (3431 Herzberg) for some Karaoke, snacks and some great times!
P.S: Singing skills are not required and all are encouraged to sing along!
- Pet Day & CU Therapy Dog Visit Tuesday, November 15th @ 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
Stop into the SSSC from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm for a session with CU Therapy Dog, Bauer! Also, be sure to tune into the SSSC's Instagram to see some of the adorable pets in the Carleton Community and share pictures of your own!
- Uplifting Sticky Notes Wednesday, November 16th
Spreading some positivity on- and off-campus with sticky notes around your favourite science buildings and virtually on the SSSC Instagram!
- Seven Grandfather Teachings Craft Session Thursday, November 17th @ 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Join Vanessa Cyr from the Centre for Indigenous Support and Community Engagement and SSSC mentors for a fun session exploring the Seven Grandfather Teachings: Love, Respect, Bravery, Truth, Honesty, Humility & Wisdom. During the session, Vanessa will guide the group through the construction of a craft to help participants explore this teaching and Indigenous artistic tradition.

- Arts & Crafts in the UC Atrium Friday, November 18th @ 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Take a break from midterms, assignments and studying to do some relaxing arts and crafts with SSSC mentors! Stop by our table in the University Centre Atrium between 12:00am and 4:00pm to take part!
- Study Snacks Throughout the Week
Keep your eyes open throughout the week for SSSC mentors handing out free snacks outside of your labs and tutorials!
