Are you interested in applying to medical school? Have you ever wished you could just talk to someone about the application process, and what studying medicine is actually like? Then this event is for you!
Join us on Tuesday, November 23 from 6:00pm-7:30pm for your chance to chat with current medical students! We will start off with a panel style Q&A period where you will have the chance to ask your questions.Also, all those who attend will be entered into a draw for $50 on their campus card! Hi everyone! My name is Abhishek Kurusetty and I'm from Ottawa, Canada! I am a first-year medical student at McMaster University and I previously graduated with a biochemistry honours undergraduate degree from Carleton University!
- Catherine Kennedy, 2nd year, St. George's University
Hi there! My name is Catherine and I am a second year medical student at St. George’s University. Originally from Ottawa, I graduated in 2020 from Carleton with a degree in Health Sciences.
- Emma Huang, 1st year, University of Ottawa
Hello! My name is Emma and I’m a first-year medical student studying at the University of Ottawa. I grew up here in Ottawa and I studied Health Sciences with a specialization in Child Health at McMaster University. I really enjoy going on hikes/walks, baking, listening to Taylor Swift, and watching The Office.
I remember how stressful the process of applying to medical school is, so I hope I can offer a few words of comfort and share some advice that helped me through my applications!

I'm in my second year of medical school at U Calgary, and I graduated April 2020 with my honours BSc in Biology with a concentration in Health Science!
- Kika Otiono, 3rd year, McMaster University
Kika Otiono is a 3rd year medical student at McMaster University. Prior to medical school, Kika graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Open Studies (Humanities) with a Minor in Biology from Carleton University. Outside of school, Kika is passionate about reading, student advocacy, and overwatering her houseplants.
