Interested in learning more about some of the dark matter research taking place at Carleton, or perhaps thinking about getting involved in research yourself?
Simon Viel of the Department of Physics at Carleton University will be hosting an information session at the Science Student Success Centre to talk about his research, lab, and potential positions available for students. He is a member of the Astroparticle Physics Experiments (APEX) and working to develop software used for DEAP-3600 in experiments that are looking for dark matter. Come on out and hear about his current research, laboratory, and how you could get involved!
If you are interested in learning more about his research before attending the session you can visit his website here.
