Carleton is preparing First Year Students for Success with a Chemistry, Computer Science and Math Program
Carleton University is helping to ensure that new students are prepared for a successful school year by offering CHEM Matters, COMP Matters and MATH Matters. Refresher programs for students entering their first year. This program ensures that incoming students have the building blocks they need to succeed in Carleton’s chem, comp and math-intensive programs.
Each program is optional and has synchronous and asynchronous components that can be accessed online using Carleton's Learning Management System, Brightspace. This is the same platform that students will be using throughout their time at Carleton in order to access course content. There is a separate cost associated with each program, and there is a no-cost more limited version of MATH Matters, called MATH4U available in August for students to use to help work on their basics. The Matters Series gives students the opportunity to revisit concepts, meet other students in their degree programs and become familiar with Carleton classes.
We hope that you will let us help smooth your transition to Carleton by joining us for one or more programs within the Matters Series!
